I do confirm TomTom works perfectly on Blackberry 10.3.1. (my one is the Classic, OS 10.3.1.2243). And I do confirm that maps can only be placed in the device memory; no way to have TomTom working with maps in the SD card (I tried several paths similar to Android devices, but with no success). Installation process is very easy. 1) copy the apk in the sd card 2) run the apk.
TomTom will be installed on the device memory. Do not open it. 3) Copy the map files (something like 'tomtom com.tomtom.europe files') in the existing folder ' misc android' of the device. 4) Reboot the device 5) Switch on the GPS (position) 6) Run TomTom The first time it will take few seconds before starting; the other times it will be faster.

The position is taken immediately. Navigation is very fluid and precise. The only disappointing thing is that I'm not able to use my address book; when I click the icon inside TomTom menu, I can’t see any contact inside. Actually my address book comes from my pc through BBLink. For apk and maps, you can search gbcnet.net (apk 1.4 and maps 945). Filippo Last edited by filangelo; 03-17-15 at 07:30 AM.
Satellite navigation devices have been around for a long time, and the name TomTom is synonymous with the sat nav device. Since their advent, travelling around the world has become a lot easier. More recently though, smart phones have given them a run for their money. App such as Google Maps, Waze, Here Maps and similar offer similar services for free. This means that sat nav prices have dropped sharply, with the need to offer more for less.
Responding to their needs, TomTom have started offering the ‘Start’ range, which gives its users all the basics at a reasonably small price. Why would you go for a dedicated Sat Nav device when your phone can do the same? Why would you go for one, when you can download and install the TomTom app on your phone for a lot cheaper? Read on to see us exploring those very questions.
